Privacy notice

Last updated 10 October 2026.

Who we are

Murmurs, based in Limassol, Cyprus, is responsible for your personal data (the "controller"). You can reach us at admin@murmurs.trade.

What we collect and why

Waitlist. When you join the waitlist we collect your work email address, the date and time you signed up, and a record that you ticked the consent box and which version of this notice applied. We use it only to contact you about Murmurs. Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Giving us your email is optional; without it we cannot add you to the waitlist.

Security. To stop spam and attacks, a Cloudflare Turnstile check runs when you submit the form, and we keep a scrambled one-way fingerprint of your IP address (a salted hash, not the address itself) with the time of each attempt. It is used only to limit repeated or abusive submissions and to block attackers, and it is deleted after 7 days. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (Article 6(1)(f)). You may object to this at any time (see your rights below).

The page does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across sites.

Who receives it

The site and its sign-up database are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. and its group companies, which process data on our behalf, including the Turnstile check. Emails sent to our address are forwarded to our own mailbox. We do not sell your details or share them with anyone else.

Transfers outside the EU

Cloudflare may process data in countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Where it does, the transfer relies on safeguards approved under data protection law, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for details.

How long we keep it

Waitlist details are kept until you ask us to delete them or we close the waitlist, and we review the list at least once a year and remove entries we no longer need. Security fingerprints are deleted after 7 days.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and you can withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect what we did before you withdrew). Write to admin@murmurs.trade and we will reply within one month.

Complaints

You may complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy), or to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
